Solihull today has a population of 205,000 people. Nearly three quarters of Solihull is defined as Green Belt and the town has an abundance of parks and public open spaces. It certainly lives up to its motto "Urbs in Rure" - "The town in the country".
Solihull is at the heart of England - indeed Meriden has long held claim to it being at the exact centre of the country.
